Laura's Story Hi I'm Laura, A day in the life at Doorway… 08.50am – cup of tea to hand, opening emails and responding to voicemails, missed calls, text messages and social media messages. 09.45am – check with the volunteers and Project Worker that reception is covered and delegate jobs for the day. To be on call for any enquiries from reception. 10am to 4pm – today is my assessment day, so I will be on call for any drop-in service users who need housing advice, to provide updates and complete housing needs assessments. I am also delegated to cover the drop-in service for Hatters Space today at 4pm. 4-5.30pm – finish up the day with Doorway’s data input of the day’s work and see anyone booked for assessment.
