Doorway Wins 2026 Weston Charity Award

We are thrilled to announce that Doorway has been named a 2026 Weston Charity Award winner, securing a support package valued at over £22,000. This prestigious award is a testament to the hard work of our team and our ongoing impact within the Warwickshire community.

Selected Amongst Outstanding Charities

Doorway is one of only 22 charities selected from a pool of more than 180 applicants across the Midlands, Wales, and the North of England. The Weston Charity Awards are designed to recognise small, ambitious charities that are making meaningful differences in their communities.

Leadership Development and Funding

  • Pilotlight 360: An eight-month leadership development programme connecting us with expert mentors from both private and public sectors to help strengthen our strategy, grow sustainably, and diversify our income.
  • Funding: A £6,500 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation, further supporting our mission.

What This Means for Doorway

Winning this award comes at a critical time, as the demand for our services continues to grow. The support provided through Pilotlight will enable us to:

  • Strengthen our long-term sustainability
  • Expand and enhance the support we offer
  • Build resilience as an organisation
  • Continue assisting young people facing homelessness and hardship in Warwickshire

Leadership Voices on The Award

Jenni Muskett (CEO of Doorway):

We are absolutely delighted to receive this award. It’s a huge recognition of the work our team does every day and the difference we make in our local community. The funding and expert support will help us develop and grow, so we can continue to be there for people who need us most.

Clare Gough, Director at Garfield Weston Foundation:

Warm congratulations to this year’s Weston Charity Award winners. We are delighted to continue our partnership with Pilotlight in supporting an inspiring mix of charities doing vital work. As demands on the sector continue to grow, these Awards help charities take time to reflect, build resilience and plan for lasting impact.

Iana Petkova, Interim CEO at Pilotlight:

At a time of real pressure on the charity sector, these awards provide more than funding. They create space for organisations to gain perspective and insight, think strategically and build for the future.

Thanks to Our Supporters

We extend heartfelt gratitude to the Garfield Weston Foundation and Pilotlight for their invaluable support, as well as to everyone who has supported Doorway in our mission to make a positive impact in Warwickshire.
