Thank you to David and Ryan at King Edward VI College in Nuneaton for helping us with our Film Project.

The young people wanted to make a short film, they learned about animation and how to make storyboards. They were shown how to plan and film a short film using a phone and a camera and how to edit the video and audio footage.

A client volunteered to share his story of homelessness. He recorded his story in the studio and then used this to create a storyboard for our animation.

Another young person wanted to share her story and also bravely recorded how she became homeless and how Doorway helped her. A drama student acted in our film to maintain anonymity and the film uses original music recorded by students at the college after listening to the young people share their stories.  Involving students from the drama and music department helped to raise more awareness about the issues of homelessness and support available. The full film can be watched above and is available on YouTube and Vimeo.

Thank you to The Heart of England, Youth Social Action Fund for funding this project.
