Sleep Out 2019 Sleep Out Checklist Be Prepared We will be sleeping outside during the night in November and the weather may be very cold, so please ensure that you are prepared physically and mentally. Use the checklist below as a guide to what you will need to bring with you in order to protect you. Your clothing should be warm and waterproof, several thin layers of clothing are better than one thick layer. A woolly hat, warm footwear, gloves and a sleeping bag are essential. It is highly recommended that you bring a large cardboard box as protection from the wind, preferably large enough to actually sleep inside. Please bring Something to lie on- large thick cardboard, tarpaulin, survival bag Sleeping bag with warm tog A sense of humour! Warm clothes; several layers and/or thermal clothing Hat Scarf Gloves Waterproofs Torch; the site will be very dark outside. Snacks Medication Please do not bring A stove or fire of any kind Alcohol or illegal drugs; anyone under the influence will be asked to leave Tents No ball games allowed Sound systems or speakers; except for headphones Pets, no animals allowed on site Unnecessary valuables Sponsorship money Important notes Participants take part in the sleep out at their own risk; Doorway will not be held responsible for loss or damage to personal effects, personal accidents, for injury or loss to third parties. We request no alcohol or drugs to be brought onto site. Please note there will be plenty of marshalls on hand to ensure the evening is enjoyable and safe for all taking part. The Club will be open to sleep out participants and you will be able to stay inside if the weather is very bad. The site must be vacated by 8am. Please ensure that you remove all belongings and rubbish including cardboard boxes.
