As a small independent charity Doorway we are always looking to get involved with local businesses and sponsors and understand the importance of businesses getting involved in their local community. Support from corporate sponsors can be done in a number of ways, whether it is for a one off donation, supporting one of our projects, or by holding a fundraising event for us, we welcome contact from local and national businesses.

Why Sponsor Doorway?

Doorway have been helping young people in Warwickshire for 20 years and have helped thousands of vulnerable young people overcome homelessness and issues that come with the threat of homelessness.  However we are finding it harder and harder to secure funding to keep our vital services running and this is why we need help.

Doorway is well respected in the local community by residents and businesses but it is vital that these donations and sponsorship continue in order to maintain the essential services that we provide to help young people.

We are always looking for businesses to get involved with our projects and if you are interested in sponsoring these projects please get in contact with Paul Baxter 02476 345583

Could you Sponsor one of our projects ?

Doorway Young Parents Programme

8 session programme designed specifically for young parents at Doorway.  There are a number of topics centred around parenting and giving young parents the skills and confidence to succeed in their family lives and building positive relationships.

We support a number of young families and have found that young parents are often very anxious about becoming a parent and nervous about accessing parenting classes and feel intimidated by attending children’s groups and parenting sessions. The programme is for Doorway users and will address the barriers young parents face when accessing children’s groups in a safe, friendly environment that they are familiar with.

Doorway Active Sports Programme - (Looking for Sponsorship)

8 session programme designed for all young people at Doorway encouraging health and fitness by engaging with sports activities and also addressing the importance of exercise and links with positive mental health. We have positive links with NBLT with qualified coaches to run the sports activities.

We have identified that Doorway's young people often do not get enough exercise even when they have the time and a majority of young people state they are bored or often have mental health problems and can be isolated in their own accommodation. Young people find attending activities daunting so an in-house sports project makes a great difference to young people accessing exercise and sporting activities.

Come Dine With Doorway - Cooking Project

A series of 8 sessions cooking programme. Young people will learn the importance of healthy eating and also how to cook and prepare a variety of meals. The programme is delivered in a group to encourage social interaction making the sessions fun and interactive and also giving young people the confidence to prepare meals and eat well.

We identified that a lot of young people do not have the skills and confidence to prepare daily healthy meals and struggle with shopping and cooking. We have also seen that young people are often skipping meals causing health and wellbeing issues.
