Young People's Group

Since June 2003 Doorway has had a Young People's Group (YPG) which gives you a chance to meet other young people who have experienced similar things, have a say in services Doorway delivers and share problems and ideas. YPG agreed a strap line in 2007 “It's all about us…”

The activities undertaken aim to encourage team work, communication and build on existing skills that young people have, whilst also having fun. Doorway and young people fundraise to keep this group running. Where possible, young people write bids themselves.

Trips undertaken have included paintballing, ice skating, trip to Art Gallery, Alton Towers and Marle Hall, Wales (pictured below)
